![]() ![]() After almost killing Batman by planting a bomb under the Batmobile, Todd decides that his revenge wouldn’t be complete until he goes against Batman face to face and defeats him. ![]() She intends to bring him back to normal as a favor to Batman, but as Jason regains his memory he wants only revenge against his own mentor. Red Hood the Lost Days shows how after Jason Todd was revived he was discovered and brought in by Talia Al Gaul. What we get is a more in-depth telling of Jason’s lost years and a comic that should appeal to fans of the original comic arc and the Red Hood character, but likely won’t sway anyway who was not a fan of either. With Batman Annual #25 Judd Winick gave readers the backstory of Jason Todd and how he spent his missing years, but obviously, he thought he could expand on that with a six issue mini-series. Despite my misgivings about the decision I did overall enjoy Batman: Under the Red Hood and thought the animated adaption of the story was even better. I’ve always felt that bringing back Jason Todd back from the dead was a mistake, but given the popularity of the storyline in which he was brought back and the character’s popularity in recent years, it’s clear my opinion is in the minority. ![]()
